Tour Overview
An ideal evening guided tour for the months of June to September, starting at 6:30 PM in Piazza Duomo. From here, a beautiful walk begins through the city’s main medieval streets, which are colored with various shades depending on the daylight. The route winds through Via Maitani, in front of the church of San Francesco, the highest point of the cliff, and continues through picturesque alleys and small squares up to Vicolo di Ripa Medici, where you’ll walk along the natural perimeter of the cliff with a breathtaking view before arriving in the heart of the medieval quarter. From here, you’ll pass through the ancient Loggia dei Mercanti, where ancient seats of the Knights Templar are visible, to reach Piazza della Repubblica, where the city’s ancient ‘Etruscan forum’ was located. From here, the route continues to Piazza del Popolo and then under the shadow of the Torre del Moro, returning to Piazza Duomo.
