Orvieto is a city that hosts a variety of great events and festivals all year long. In particular, food and wine, culture and religion have always been subjects related to the most important annual events that take place in Orvieto.
Spring is a period of religious celebrations, including the “Palombella” (Pentecost) and the feast of Corpus Domini, accompanied by the great historical medieval parade. During this period there is also the important gastronomic event of I Gelati d’Italia (an ice cream event). In autumn, the city hosts a wine and food events called Orvieto con Gusto.
Summer is a period with numerous local food festivals, the city center hosts a musical event called Orvieto Folk Festival. In winter, between Christmas and New Year’s Orvieto becomes the center of jazz music with the traditional event Umbria Jazz Winter.
